A SHORT "BREAK-IN" PERIOD IS NECESSARY TO OPEN THE GRAIN SURFACE AND EXPOSE THE WORK SURFACE. BRAND NEW BELTS LOOK MUCH ROUGHER BEFORE USE AND CAN APPEAR TOO COARSE BECAUSE OF THE NATURE OF THE MATERIAL.
